THE CELLAR
The ancient cellar, hewn entirely from the rock, has recently been brought back “into the light” and restored to its original purpose.
Since the 1300s, it has served as the semi-underground cellar of the house, where farmers stored wine, oil, cured meats, and cheeses.
The rock walls naturally filter water when it rains, maintaining the perfect humidity level. The floor, made of gravel, allows the soil to breathe and maintains a constant temperature, averaging around 15°C.
Adding to the authenticity of the small cellar is its historical function as a shelter during wars.
The entire project seamlessly integrates with the unique essence of this land: the harmonious balance between beauty and functionality; Tuscany has always been a place where necessity has given rise to beauty, resulting in a distinctive and harmonious fusion. At the heart of our project is the quest for this harmony, exemplified by the careful hand restoration of ancient architectural treasures. These endeavours respond to the call to cultivate vines and produce wines of unparalleled quality
